We caught up with Director of Colley House at Appleby College, Stephen Telling, to see how their Student Life team has been doing since they became a Reach School in 2014.
Here’s what Stephen had to say:
"In what seems like almost a lifetime ago now, Appleby College was one of the first boarding schools in Canada to adopt REACH as our student life management system.
It has without question, revolutionized the way we track student life data, and ensures that as house faculty, we always have the information we need on the students under our care, at our fingertips.
While initially we use REACH as a much more effective and efficient way to manage student locations and contact information, it has grown to become so much more. REACH is now a central piece to our student life program and helps the house faculty to manage trips, track pastoral reports, communicate quickly in emergency scenarios, take roll-calls, and so much more.
Looking back now it is hard to imagine how we managed before we had REACH."
